Hair oil in the winter is a must have item. I love me some Carols Daughter Tui Hair Oil, but at $18/8oz, I just can’t see paying that much right now. The main ingredient is corn oil, with added essential oils. There are actually oils that are better for your hair such as coconut oil and olive oil which have been used for centuries by ladies in Middle East. Both oils are good for you internally and externally. I cook with both and have incorporated both into my hair care regime.
In Georgia you can get organic extra virgin coconut oil from the DeKalb Farmers Market at $3.49/16oz. It smells wonderful and will last about a year. I am working on adding some essential oils to my olive oil to make it smell extra special. When I come up with a winner, ya’ll will be the first to know the recipie!
